Our loft conversion, with it's great views over the ridgeway, makes for a lovely working environment. Wantage is the birthplace of King Alfred the Great. He once burn't his cakes near here on his way to White Horse Hill. Wantage was also refered to in the Domesday Book as 'Black Wantage'. It was a handy stopping spot for bandits travelling between London and the South West. The town centres numerous underground tunnels proved to be an excellent hiding spot for treasures.
