William Booth College has been The Salvation Army's officer training college since 1928. Prior to this, officer training was carried out at the "Clapton Garisson". William Booth College is still there, although under review. Its current (18/10/05) dimensions are the entire length of Champion Park, and back to Champion Grove. It is capable of comfortably housing around 70 students - but in its hey-day housed several hundred (albeit with much smaller rooms!)
